About Medical Assistants salary in Pittsburgh, PA

Medical Assistants salary in Pittsburgh, PA ?
Hi. I'm currently on my way of graduating MA school, and I plan to work in Pittsburgh for the time being. I was asking if someone could tell me the entity that pays the best? I know that UPMC starts their MA's off at about $10.75 an hour. I've also heard though that West Penn pays more for their entry level position. Unfortunately, West Penn has no salary information available, I even called lol. Can anyone help with some insight? What is the highest paying entity for an entry level position in Pittsburgh? (On a side note, MA's are grossly underpaid. For all of the knowledge that we know.. from clinical to administrative.. it's sad. You have to crawl before you walk though.)

should I stay in Pittsburgh or go to NY?
this is probably a personal question but any ideas are welcome I'm currently working in Pittsburgh but my job sucks recently and I hate working here. so I'm looking for a new one. the reasons to go to ny is that. 1.exciting, a lot of art venues and activities that i like and those are related to my field. 2. a lot of job opportunities. 3. potential to find some eligible well-educated singles the draw back is it's too expensive to live there, don't want to live with roommates any more.and for my field, we're not paid higher in NY. the reason to stay in pittsburgh 1. I've just come up a business idea that will probably work...in pittsburgh 2. I've got to know this area now and have some friends here 3. so cheap to own a house here the draw back thing is there's not a lot of well-educated singles in their 30s in Pgh. and not a lot of job opportunities. should I stick to pgh and work out my business ideas in Pgh or should I go for a job in NY? (it's probably easier to find a job in NY for now) thanks.

I work in Pittsburgh and live nearby and love it here. We moved away (lived in WV, SC, and other parts of PA) and moved back. Sometimes you don't realize what you've got until you're gone.

NY has more opportunities, and you can always move back if you don't like it. Although its expensive I would never move anywhere else.

Is your business idea something you really want to do?If so go for it but if it is not then go to NY give it a shot.

Hi, for a scholarship oppurtunity I need at least 50 hours of community service. Does anybody know any places in Pittsburgh (preferable around Oakdale, McDonald) area? Thanks!

Do you only work with animals in the Los Angeles area.Would you go to Pittsburgh, PA?
Our daughter, Cara, lives in Pittsburgh, PA and has three large dogs in her home. Clemetine is a mixed breed and lives with a Border Collie and Boxer. Clemetine is wild, out of control, all over people when the come in the home and is just unmanageable. Could you help???

Where can I work When I'm 13 in Pittsburgh?
This summer I really want to start working because I really want buy my own things that my parents can't afford for me right now...I don't know where to look for a place to work because I doubt there are many...I do babysit but i don't make that much money... Can someone please help me?

Sorry, Honey! The government determined quite a few years ago that it is against Child Labor Laws for you to work until you turn 16 then you can work for 2 hours a day until you turn 18. Then you may have a full time job. But the draw back on that is all potential employers want you to have "experience" which you cannot get without having a "proper" job which babysitting isn't considered. Catch 22!! You are not old enough to have a job even tho you want one. When you are old enough the employers want you to have experience which you can't get without being hired.

Sorry, but you got to wait another year because the youngest to get a job is 14 but you could get a job like paint a person house, dog walks, and if your good at talking your way in a job you could get a job below minimum wage.
